As many of you know, I am an avid bicyclist riding 100-200 miles per week.
I am sorry to report that on Saturday I was involved in a severe accident with another cyclist while on a training ride. I ended up losing control of my bike at a speed of about 25 mph and fell hard against the pavement.
After x-rays were taken at the ER, the doctors discovered that I had 3 broken ribs, a shattered clavicle and a collapsed right lung. Surgery was performed on my clavicle yesterday and a tube has been inserted to re-inflate and drain my lung.
Needless to say, I’ll be on the mend for some time. The OptiFuse Daily Blog unfortunately will be suspended for a bit while I recover but will resume within a week or two (hopefully).
Please direct all your OptiFuse inquiries to either Duane MacNeilan (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Lourdes Acuna (email@example.com) during my absence.
More now than ever I appreciate your continued support of OptiFuse.
