New UL Listing of Automotive Blade Fuses

I am please to announce that OptiFuse now offers both "mini" blade fuses (equivalent to the 297 series from Littelfuse and ATM from Bussmann) and "regular" blade fuses (equivalent to the 257 / ATO series from Littelfuse and ATC series from Bussmann) that are listed by UL.

APM Fuse

As more and more electronic OEMs use blade type fuses in their designs, these new UL listed fuses enables those OEM companies to satisfy  requirements presented to them by UL.  The benefit that many OEMS are seeing when using automotive blade type fuses include lower overall costs as well as wide scale availability for field replacement parts.

APR

The part numbers for these new fuses are APM-UL-XXA (mini style) and APR-UL-XXA (regular style) (where the -XX is the fuse amperage).

The APM-UL is available from 1A to 30A and the APR-UL is available from 1A to 40A.  The voltage rating for both these fuse families is 32 VDC.

The UL Listed blade style fuses do carry a slight price premium of approximately $0.01 per fuse depending on the quantity ordered but still should cost far below that of their Littelfuse and/or Bussmann equivalents.

These fuses are no different in size or construction to their non-UL counterparts and can be mounted in any standard automtive blade fuse clip or holder.

These fuses are also RoHS compliant.

Thank you very much for your continued support of OptiFuse where we working hard to offer you new products to solve old problems...
