People in the overcurrent protection business tend to focus on fuses (well...deranged people) but rarely give the fuse mounting much consideration. There are several methods of mounting a fuse including fuse clips, in-line fuse holders, fuse blocks, axial leads and panel-mounted fuse holders just to name a few.
Fuse clips are the most economical method to mount fuses on a printed circuit board (PCB). The difficulty with using fuse clips is that they are typically small and difficult to work with during the installation and soldering process.
OptiFuse has a unique option that allows users to install fuse clips in a better way.
The CSC-05 fuse clips come on a standard auto-insertable tape (0.50" spacing) and is available on a standard reel or ammo pack. This unique design allows the fuse clips to be automatically inserted into the PCB during the board stuffing process. Installing fuse clip using this method helps to streamline the production process and eliminates many of the installation problems associated with using fuse clips.
The CSC-05 fuse clips are for use with standard 5 x 20 mm or 5 x 15 mm (sometimes called 2AG) fuses.
The base material is a phosphor-bronze and the plating is bright tin. The voltage rating is typically up to 250 VAC and the current rating is up to 10 Amps.
The OptiFuse CSC-05 fuse clips are the exact equivalents to the Bussmann HTC-200M or the Littelfuse 01110005MR fuse clips.
Also don’t forget...you need two fuse clips for each fuse!
Thank you very much for your continued support of OptiFuse where we strive to make using fuses (and fuse clips) an easy proposition.
