MID 32V MIDI-Style Fuse: Compact High-Current Circuit Protection

High-current DC circuits can outgrow plug-in blade fuses without having room for a large bolt-on format.
The OptiFuse MID is a compact MIDI-style fuse for 12V and 24V electrical systems. It covers 30A through 200A with 30mm center-to-center mounting distance.
Key Specs at a Glance
- Current range: 30A to 200A
- Voltage rating: 32VDC
- Interrupting rating: 1,000A at 32VDC
- Operating temperature: -40°C to 125°C
- Mounting style: Two-bolt connection
Where the MID Fits
The MID bridges the gap between standard blade fuses and larger bolt-on formats. Its 30mm footprint suits battery-adjacent mounting, helping shorten the unprotected portion of the cable.
The MID can protect small inverter or DC-DC charger feed. Another use is the cable supplying an auxiliary distribution panel. Its 32VDC limit rules it out for 36V and 48V systems. Choose the MIDA when a 58VDC rating is required.
24V Work-Truck Distribution Panel
On a 24V work truck application, install the MID near the battery bank to protect the auxiliary panel feeder. Select its rating without exceeding conductor ampacity. Confirm that available fault current remains within the fuse’s 1,000A interrupting rating.
Pairing the MID with a Fuse Block
The OptiFuse BLC-61 accepts MID fuses through 200A. Its insulating cover shields the terminals while interlocking sides support future expansion.
